HEALTH

Health is a fundamental pillar of development, and IFIP is dedicated to improving access to quality healthcare services in Turkana County.

Our Health Intervention Initiative Support Programs are designed to address the unique health challenges faced by communities, especially those in remote areas. Through a comprehensive approach, we aim to enhance healthcare delivery, promote preventive measures, and support public health systems.

our approach

IFIP deploys mobile health clinics to reach underserved populations in remote and rural areas. These clinics provide essential healthcare services, including general checkups, maternal and child healthcare, and treatment of common illnesses.

Health Education and Awareness Campaigns

IFIP conducts health education workshops and community outreach programs to raise awareness about preventive healthcare, hygiene, nutrition, and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. These programs empower individuals to take control of their health and adopt healthier lifestyles.

Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Programs

Clean water and proper sanitation are critical to public health. IFIP integrates WASH programs into our health initiatives, promoting access to safe drinking water, hygiene education, and proper sanitation facilities to prevent waterborne diseases.

Disease Surveillance and Prevention

In collaboration with local health agencies, IFIP supports disease surveillance systems to monitor and respond to potential outbreaks, particularly cross-border diseases. We also provide resources and training for local health workers to enhance their capacity to manage health crises.
