Overview of Islamic Foundation for Integrated Programs

The Islamic Foundation for Integrated Programs (IFIP) is a non-profit organisation committed to promoting inclusive development, social justice, and community empowerment across Kenya, with a strong footprint in Turkana County. Established to bridge developmental gaps in underserved communities, IFIP’s mandate focuses on delivering impactful programmes that support education, livelihoods, legal empowerment, environmental sustainability, and humanitarian relief. The foundation works in both refugee and host community settings, ensuring that interventions address the needs of vulnerable populations through participatory and rights-based approaches.

Over the years, IFIP has implemented programmes that tackle some of the most pressing challenges facing marginalised communities. From child protection and educational support in Kalimapus and Kakuma, to public legal education on land rights and sustainable livelihood initiatives, the organisation has built trusted partnerships with local leaders, government departments, international development partners, and grassroots institutions. IFIP’s field-based presence and culturally sensitive programming allow it to remain responsive and adaptive to the evolving needs of the communities it serves.

As a values-driven organisation, IFIP upholds transparency, inclusivity, and compassion at the core of its operations. Through an integrated model of development, the foundation champions equitable access to resources, gender mainstreaming, and environmental responsibility. By combining advocacy, service delivery, and capacity building, IFIP seeks to create long-term positive change and empower communities to lead their own transformation.
